Edward D. Owen and the Rev. L.P. Bland. Burial was in Wakefield cemetery. Pallbearers were Edgar Ray Scarborough, Robert L. Scarborough, Barry W. Scarborough, Walter C. Scarborough, Donald W. Scarborough, Robert C. Rodgers, Miles C. Edwards and Joseph C. Cole. Mrs. Scarborough, 86, died Saturday morning in a Richmond hospital. A native of Surry County, she was a daughter of Joseph J. and Mary Elizabeth Conway and the widow of E.W. Scarborough. She was the oldest member of Wakefield Methodist Church and a member of Claremont Eastern Star. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. T.L. Eldridge of Richmond, Mrs. Robert E. Rodgers of Hampden-Sydney, and Mrs. M. Carlyle Edwards of Franklin; three sons, Emmett W. Scarborough Jr. of McLean, Robert H. Scarborough of Surry, and Fenton C. Scarborough of Wakefield; a sister Mrs. Lottie C. Cole of Waverly; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Annie (CONWAY; Mrs. Emmett W.)
