Mr. Scarborough was a native of Surry County. He was a former partner of Seward Motor Co. in Surry and a retired employee of Southern States in Wakefield. He was a member Rocky Hock United Methodist Church. Mr. Scarborough is survived by his wife, Elspeth A. Scarborough; two daughters, Susan Lynn Scarborough of Sedley and Holly Ann Scarborough of the home; his parents, Samuel Ashton and Edna Louise Huber Scarborough; a sister, Marion S. Koon of Richmond. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield by the Rev. Randy Duncan. Burial will follow in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the MCV Transplant Service Program, c/o MCV Foundation, P.O.
