All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY ALICE TRAYLOR Funeral services for Miss Mary Alice Traylor, 79, were conducted Tuesday, May 16, at 2:30 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, with the Reverends Mr. Garner Underhill and Mr. Woodrow Laine officiating. Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery. Mrs. Traylor died Saturday, May 13, in Richmond after a long illness. A native of Sussex County and daughter of Frederick Spencer and Ella Laine Traylor, she had been a resident of Washington, D.C. for many years. She was a former public school teacher and welfare worker, and a charter member of Wakefield Episcopal Church and member of Waverly Episcopal Church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Annie T. Beattle of Chilhowie, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were C.H. Traylor Jr., John F. Goode, C.W. Beattle Jr., Robert T. Goode, Neil Lupton, Dennis E. Morris and Brinkley Lanier.
