RAY TRAYLOR WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Ray Brittle Traylor, 89, died March 15 at Louise Obici Hospital. A native of Sussex County, she was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church, a member of the Woman's Missionary Society, teacher and pianist. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College. Her parents were the late Emmett W. and Lucy Presson Brittle. She was the widow of the late Charles Hunter Traylor Sr. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Charlene Goodrich Traylor; and two grandsons, Charlesls H. Traylor, III and Thomas N. Traylor, all of Wakefield. A funeral service was held March 18 at Purviance Funeral Chapel and burial was in Wakefield with the Rev. Parker Hooper officiating. Pallbearers were William Jenkins, S. Aubrey Whitmore, J.W. Ranney, Edward O'berry, Franklin Lowe and Jim Long. Memorial donations may be made to Wakefield Baptist Church Memorial Fund or a favorite charity.
