HERMAN "HERMA" HART WHITE 

  Mrs. Herman Hart White died June 20 in a Richmond hospital after a brief 
illness.

  A lifelong resident of Sussex County, she was the daughter of James D. and 
Ada Bishop Hart and the widow of Watson B. White.  She was a member of the 
Wakefield Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Wakefield post office.

  She is survived by a sister, Miss Bertha D. Hart of Sandston; a 
granddaughter, Mary Agnes Whittaker all of Fredricksburg.

  A funeral service was conducted at the Purviance Funeral Chapel Thursday, 
June 22, by the Rev. Ed Griffin.  Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery.

  Pallbearers were Jack P. Bain, E.L. Harris, John Carson, J.N. Savedge, G.T. 
Allen and L. Ray Ashworth.
