A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the home. Burial will be in Rocky Hock Methodist Church Cemetery. Daughter of the late Jesse and Mrs. Antionette Simon [sic; Simons] Councill, of Isle of Wight County, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mariam Lee Ellis and Mrs. Lois Carolyn Hines, both of Wakefield, and Mrs. Jesse Stuart Bass, of Danville; two sons, Robert Lee Pond, of Wakefield, and Lee Councill Pond, of Birmingham, Ala., and eight grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** MRS. She was a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mariam Lee Ellis and Mrs. Lois Carolyn Hines, of Wakefield, and Mrs. Jessie Stuart Bass, of Danville; two sons, Robert Lee Pond, of Wakefield, and Lee Councill Pond, of Birmingham, Ala.; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at the residence at 11 a.m. Monday with interment in Rocky Hock Methodist Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JESSIE COUNCILL POND WHITE Mrs. Jessie Councill Pond White, 75, a well-known resident of Wakefield, died at her home in that town Saturday morning, July 23, after suffering a heart attack. She was the wife of Jeb Stuart White. Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Jesse and Antoinette Simon [sic; Simons] Councill of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Miriam Lee Ellis and Mrs. Lois Carolyn Hines of Wakefield, and Mrs. Jessie Stuart Bass of Danville; two sons, Robert Lee Pond of Wakefield and Lee Councill Pond of Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. J.M. Garrett and Miss Bertie Council of Norfolk, and Mrs. Nettie Rawls of Suffolk; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. White were conducted at the residence Monday morning at 11 o'clock by Rev. J.L. Blankenship, followed by burial in the family plot in Rocky Hock Methodist Church cemetery.
