IOLA WOOTEN WHITLEY 

  Mrs. Iola Wooten Whitley, 85, a resident of Wakefield, died Sunday, July 15, 
1979 at Patrick Henry Hospital in Newport News.  She was the widow of Charles 
J. Whitley and a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church.  She is survived by 
several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17 at 
2:30 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Chapel in Wakefield.  Burial will be in the 
Wakefield Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 
Monday 7 to 8:30 p.m.
