He was the son of David Kyle and Lora Scott Wilson. A native of Forest, Virginia, he was a furniture refinisher and a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Wilson of Wakefield; a son, Charles R. Wilson, Jr., of Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. R.L. Evans of Ipswich, Australia; and a stepdaughter, Grace Marie Gardner of Wakefield. Besides his immediate family, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Arthur L. Presson of Wakefield, and Mrs. A.T. Laughon of Reidville; and two grandson. Funeral services were held Wed., June 26, at 4:00 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home. Funeral was in the Wakefield Cemetery with the Rev. Donald P. Anderson officiating. The pallbearers were: L.J. Monahan, Jr., Dr. R.B. McEwen, C.L. Goodrich, Earl Holt, R.T. Scott, Harris Preston and C.E. Goodrich.
