She was a native of Sussex County and a former Southampton County schoolteacher. Surviving are her husband, V.L. Worrell, Sr.; two sons, V.L. Worrell, Jr. of Wakefield and Frank L. Worrell, of Boyce; a brother, David V. Branch, Jr. of Wakefield and three sisters, Mrs. B.E. Cowling Sr., Mrs. W.V. Rogers Sr. and Mrs. John W. Little, Jr. of Wakefield. Funeral services were conducted from the Purviance Funeral Chapel on March 14 by the Rev. R.L. Consolvo. Active pallbearers were J.N. Savedge, C.E. Holladay, C.W. Drewry, Jack P. Bain, James E. Epperson, H.C. Clayton, Sol I. Jenkins and Stanley A. Brantley.
