JOSEPHINE "TIDDLE" HART EURE ZACHARY 

  Josephine "Tiddle" Hart Eure Zachary -  Age 81, formerly a long-time 
resident of Wakefield died Sunday July 19, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia after 
suffering from the deterioration of Alzheimer's disease for the past five 
years.  Born in Dendron, VA on March 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the 
late William Grady Hart Sr. and Fannie Wells Hart.

  Tiddle is survived by her four beloved children, William Henry "Hank" Eure 
Jr. and his wife Brooke of Hampton, Patricia Eure Hassey and her husband Bill 
of Durham, N.C., Edward "Eddie" Corbin Eure and his wife Nancy of Virginia 
Beach and Jane Eure Ulicny and her husband Gary of Atlanta; six grandchildren 
and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded by three sisters, Jane Hart 
Smith, Anne Hart Cook and Marion Hart Howard and a brother, Grady "Boy" Hart, 
Jr.

  A creative and talented lady, Tiddle owned and operated "The Finishing 
Touch" Drapery Shop in Virginia Beach for over 25 years.  Her business is 
continued today by her son, Eddie, and daughter-in-law Nancy.  She was a 
member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church for many years and was proud 
to have been the president of the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign 
Wars in Franklin, N.C. after she retired.

  A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in 
Wakefield United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jeff Cannon.  Following the 
service the family invites everyone to a luncheon and time of visitation in 
the fellowship hall of the church.  Burial in Wakefield Cemetery will be 
private.  Arrangements are being handled by the Purviance Chapel of J.T. 
Morriss & Son, Wakefield.

Tiddle 1m. William Henry EURE 29 Nov 1946 in Rocky Mount, Nash Co., NC. 
   (Nash Co., NC M.Reg.)  He was appointed Postmaster of Wakefield in 1964. 
   They div. in 14 May 1985, and he d. 27 Jun 1985 in Norfolk.  He is buried 
   with his parents, Junius Edward & Marjorie Elizabeth (WARREN) EURE in 
   Spring Hill Christian Church Cemetery, in Surry Co.  Find a Grave calls it 
   Springhill Cemetery.  (Mem. #52732407 &c.) 

Tiddle 2m. widower John Elden ZACHARY Sr. 10 Aug 1985 in Virginia Beach. 
   (Va.Beach #2505)  John (1929 - 1998) is buried with his first wife, 
   Catherine (HOOPER) ZACHARY, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Franklin, Macon Co., NC. 
   (Mem. #34121857 &c.)
