I Absalom Bailey of Sussex County being of sound memory and perfect sences do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following viz't. to wit. 1st. I give to my wife Hollen Bailey one bed and furniture that she lies on to dispose of as she thinks proper together with a maintenance out of my Estate during her life. I give to my son Thomas Bailey six dollars to him and his heirs forever. I give to my Son Benjamin Bailey one dollar to him and his heirs forever. I give to my Daughter Peggy Brock one bed and furniture one Cow & Heifer. All the remainder and residue of my estate of every kind that may or can be found after the death of my wife I leave to be equally divided between my four Daughters namely Martha Rose Lucy Bailey Mary Patterson Ruth Patterson & Peggy Brock to them and their heirs forever. LASTLY I nominate and appoint John Brock to Execute this my last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this third day of November one thousand eight hundred and six. The Last Will and Testament of Absalom Bailey was presented in Court by John Brock the Executor therein named & proved by the oath of Jesse Bailey one of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of said Exor. who made oath gave bond and security according to Law Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form. Teste J.C.
