IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN October 29th, 1778. I Jane Blunt of Sussex County being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind and Memory thanks be to God for the same Do make and ordain constitute and appoint this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say. IMPRIMIS. I give unto my Daughter Dolley Blunt one Negro Woman Kate to her and her Heirs or Assigns forever the said Negro to be hired by my Executors after named to such Master or Mistress as he shall think will use her well and the money to be apply'd to the Support of my said Daughter. ITEM. I give unto my said Daughter all my wearing Apparrel & Linen now in the House. ITEM. All the rest and Residue of my Estate of what Nature or Quallity soever that I am now in Possession of or shall hearafter fall unto me (except one single riding chair which I give unto my Mother in Law Anne Green) I desire may be equally divided between my children Thomas Blunt Collin Blunt Richd. Blunt and Dolley Blunt to them and their Heirs forever. AND LASTLY I do appoint my Brother William Nicholson and my Son Thomas Blunt Executors of this my last Will and Testament. The last Will and Testament of Jane Blunt deced. was presented into Court by Thomas Blunt one of the Executors therein named who made Oath thereto as the Law directs & the same was proved by the Oath of John Blunt one of the Witnesses thereto and by the Court ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Executor Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
