IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I William Hariss of the County of Sussex being in a very low state of health do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say. I give to my Son Reubin Hariss one hundred acres of land being the plantation whereon I now live which if he should not live to possess himself with my will is that his daughter Polly Hariss have she and her heirs forever also one cow with her first calf. I give to my Wife Lucy Hariss one feather bed rug blanket and a pair of sheets during her natural life and then my will is that my son Joseph Hariss should have the said feather bed he and his heirs forever. I give to my wife Lucy Hariss my horse bridle and side saddle during her natural life and then my will is that he should be sold and the money ariseing should be eaqually divided betwixt my sons Joseph Hariss and Nathan Hariss to them and their heirs forever. And all the residue of my estate which I have not before given away my will is that my wife Lucy Hariss should have during her natural life and then be sold after Joseph Hariss and Nathan Hariss has each of them taken one cow and calf if any remaining and equally divided amongst my children namely Joseph Ruben Lewis Nathan Elizabeth Rogers and Lucy Towder. And I do hereby appoint Joseph Hariss and Rubin Hariss Executors of this my last will and testament revoking and making void all other wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of October one thousand seven hundred and eighty. The last Will and Testament of William Harris deced. was exhibited in Court by Reubin Haris one of the Executors therein named, proved by the oaths of John Whitehorn and Lewis Underwood witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Executor who made oath according to law and with William Richardson and Nathaniel Fells his securities entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of one thousand pounds conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat thereof in due form.
