I James Lee of the County of Sussex being sick week in body but of sound disposing mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz. I lend to my beloved wife Mary Lee during her natural life all my lands that I have at this time, together with all the household and kitchen furniture. Also Jerry, Jack, Daniel, Paicents, Lizzy and Suckey. Also all my Stock of horses, cows, & hogs, and at her death my will and desire is the land may be sold and the money equally divided between all of my children. The negros lent my wife and other property may be divided among them. All the balance of my property my will and desire is it should be equally divided between all of my children and my two grand children of my son Tho's. Lee dec'd. that is they are to have one shear. My will is that my daughter Nancy Stacy shall have the use of the property her life, and if she leves no heir at her death & her husband to return to my other children. Hunt Charles Collier At a Court held for Sussex County the 6th day of February 1834 The last Will and Testament of James Lee deceased was presented into Court and proved by the oaths of Thomas Hunt and Charles Collier the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of William Lewis the Executor therein named who made oath and entered into bond with security according to law Certificate is granted him for a probate thereof in due form. Teste L.
