SUSSEX COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - William Prince, 18 Aug 1801

Will: William Prince, Sussex Co, VA (1801)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I, William Prince, of the county of Sussex being sick
& weak of body but of sound mind and disposing memory , do make and ordain
this to be my last will and testament in manner & form following:

Imprimis: I give unto my loving wife Patsey Prince one bed and furniture, one
side saddle, one loom, to her and her heirs.  I lend unto my loving wife
Patsey Prince during her widowhood, the use of one negro by the name of Patt,
also one cow and yearling and after death or marriage, my will and desire is
that the above named negro Patt and her increase, if any, to be equally
divided between my sons John and William, to them & their heirs.

Lastly, I do nominate, constitute and appoint Joseph Prince my Executor of
this my Last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of
August 1801.

                      the 19th day of October 1801

This Will was presented in court by Joseph Prince, the Executor therin named,
proved by the oaths of John Massingburg & Joseph Rowland, two of the witnesses
thereto and ordered to be recorded.   And on the motion of the said Executor
who made oath according to law, Probat is granted him on giving bond and
security, whereupon &c.
