Will of Benjamin Vernon Rideout
(Will Book 3, Page 641, Sussex County, VA.)

In the name of God Amen. I, B.V. Rideout of the county of Sussex 
state of Virginia, make this my last will the only one ever made 
by me.
Itm 1st I desire my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid as 
soon as convenient after my death.
Itm 2nd I give to James B.Rideout and Wm. S. Rideout and Pannie L.
Hayes one dollar each .
Itm 3rd I give to Joseph H. Westbrook one bed complete and one 
Bureau.
Itm 4th I give to sussie F. Rideout and Annie M. Rideout and 
Robert D. Rideout the residue to be equally divided between the 
them (sic).
In witness whareof (sic) I have signed this as my will on this 15 
day of January 1915 and affixed my Seal. B.V. Rideout (seal).

The foregoing will was this day signed by the said B.V. Rideout
and acknowledged by him as his last will in the presents (sic) of 
us the undersigned subscribing witnesses both of us being present 
at the same time and each of us at the Request of the said B.V. 
Rideout and in his presents (sic) subscribed the said will as 
subscribing witnesses thare(sic)to witness our hand this 15 day of 
January 1915.

Virginia:
In the clerks office of the circuit court of Sussex county, March
30th,1915 a paper writing purporting to be the last will and 
testament of B.V. Rideout deceased was this day produced in this 
office, and proved according to law by the oaths of G.L. Robinson 
and J.H. Kennedy the subscribing witnesses thereto, and the same 
is ordered to be recorded as the true Last Will and Testament of 
the said B.V. Rideout deceased.
