Will of Ann Sturdivant - 1812
(Will Book G, page 422, Sussex Co.VA.)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Ann Sturdivant of the County of Sussex do
make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say I give
to my grand daughters Susan Sturdivant & Nancy Ellis sturdivant 
daughters of my Son Matthew Sturdivant all my wearing apparel to be
equally divided between them, and at the death of Susan Sturdivant her
part to go to Nancy Ellis Sturdivant.
Item. I give to my grand Son Ruffin Sturdivant my black Chest to him
and his heirs forever.
Item. I give all the remaining part of my estate of what nature or kind
soever to my Son Robert Sturdivant to him & his heirs forever.
Lastly. I do hereby nominate and appoint my Son Robert Sturdivant
executor to this my last will and testament, revoking all others
heretofore made by me.
My will and desire is that there be no appraisement of my estate.
Witness my hand and Seal this 7th day of December 1811.-

At a Court held for Sussex County the 4th day of June 1812.
The last will and Testament of Ann Sturdivant was presented into Court
and proved by the Oaths of Gray Wynne and Nathaniel Tomlinson two of
the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
