Will of Wylie Sammons (Will Book Q, page 585, Sussex Co.VA.) In the name of God Amen I Wylie Sammons of the County of Sussex and State of Va. being of sound mind do make and ordain this my last will and testament in form and manner following, to wit: 1st I desire that my Executor herein after named pay all my just debts. 2nd I give my daughter Sally H.Sammons the sum of fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever. 3rd I desire that the balance of my Est.(including any land warrants in the hands of W.D.Taylor) be equally divided between my four sons Allen, James L., Joseph T., and Charles W.Sammons. 4th I appoint my son Joseph T.Sammons Executor to this Will. And on the motion of Joseph T.Sammons the executor therein named who made oath and entered into bond with security conditioned as the law directs, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereto in due form securities sworn according to law.
