IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Thomas Wynne of the Parish of Albemarle in the County of Sussex being sick of body but of sound disposing mind and memory blessed be God do this first day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say, IMPRIMIS ITEM. I give and devise to my Son Thomas Wynne two hundred acres of land lying in Dinwiddie County and on the south side of Sapponey Creek to him and his heirs for ever likewise Negro Sall and Ben and likewise the third part of my stock and household furniture. ITEM. I give and devise to my son John Wynne the plantation whereon I now live and three Negroes that is to say Jeff Winney and Jenny to him and his heirs for ever also the remainder part of my household furniture and stock. ITEM. I give and devise to my Son Joshua Wynne ten shillings sterling. ITEM. I give and devise to my Daughter Phebe Rainey ten shillings sterling and further it is my desire that my two Sons Thomas and John Wynne to be my whole & sole executors of this my last will and testament that they should not be compelled to give bond and security for their appraisement for their administration and that my Estate be not appraised. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above mentioned. Booth Evans Mabry Thomas Vines At a Court held for Sussex County the 21st day of January 1773. The last will and testament of Captain Thomas Wynne deceased was presented into Court by John Wynne one of the Executors therein named who made oath thereto as the law directs and the same was proved by the oaths of George Booth and Thomas Vines witnesses thereto and by the Court ordered to be recorded; and on the motion of the said Executor Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
