This file was contributed by: Christie Canfield ==================================================================== Joseph Wrenns Will In the Name of God amen I Joseph Wrenn of the Parish of Albemarl and County of Sussex being sick of body but of sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit. Imprimis I give to my son David one negroe named Frank one sorrel mare saddle and bridle one bed and furniture that is called his bed two sows and ten shoats one cow and yearling two small pewter dishes and ½ doz pewter plates five chairs one iron pot and one plantation and land thereunto belonging called Surry old field to him and his heirs forever. Item I Give to my son Joseph one negro wench named Patt and all her increase from November 27th 1781. One horse called Ball & my bridle and saddle one feather bed and furniture called the new bed Two sows and ten shoats one Red cow and yearling one large pewter dish and ½ doz pewter plates one pine table and safe & five head of sheep one gun 4 Chairs one iron pot and my plantation and land thereunto belonging to him & his heirs forever. Item I give to my son William one negroe Wench named Beak one sorrel Filly called Sal Two sows and ten shoats, two heifer Yearlings one feather bed and furniture one pewter dish one pewter bason four Do. plates One hundred and fifty pounds Silver or Gold and one Iron Skillet to him and his heirs forever. Item I Give to my son Thomas two negroe Girls named Lucy & Amy Two sows and Ten shoats the remainder of my pewter One hundred pounds Silver or Gold, one Black mare called Diamond to him and his heirs forever. Item I give to my son Benjamin two negro boys named Kit and Ned One hundred pounds Silver or Gold and one horse called Thomas to him and his heirs forever. Item I give to my daughter Ann one negroe boy called Jack one horse called Sorrel Saddle & Bridle one feather bed called her bed ½ my earthen & stone ware one large Gilt trunk, one painted chest, to her & her heirs forever. Item I give to my daughter Betty two negros namely Peg and Isham all the remainder part of my earthen and stone ware one Gilt trunk one Chest to her and her heirs forever. Item It is my Will and desire that all the remainder part of my estate be it of what nature or kind soever should be equally divided amongst my Children above named and if any of my Children should die before they may come to the age of Twenty one years or should be married My desire is that their parts of my Estates me be equally divided amongst the surviving Children to them and their heirs forever. And Lastly I do constitute and appoint David Wrenn, Barham Moore and Jesse Williamson my whole and sole executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made.
