Amen. I Richard Wrenn of Sussex and State of Virginia being of sound and disposing memory doth make this my last Will and Testament in the year of our Lord A. D. one thousand eight hundred and thirty six in form following to wit: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Patsey Wren & sons Thomas & Henry Wrenn the sum of fifteen dollars each one of them more that my sons Robertson E. & James J Wrenn in consequence of their not having no learning. Also my will and desire is that my property be sold except Isabel and equally divided between my five children. My will and desire is that my sons Robertson E. and James J. Wrenn shall take Isabel in their possession and that they shall not dispose of her in any way only in their own service - that they shall not sell her out of the family. I also appoint and nominate my friends John E. Nicholson and Alfred S. Hargrave to take charge of my estate as my Exor. As Witness my hand and seal this fifteenth day of Decr. 1836. Teste - witness Richard Wrenn (Seal) John T. Southall Alfred C. Clary. At a Court held for Sussex County the 5th day of January 1837. The last Will and Testament of Richard Wrenn deceased was presented into Court and proved by the oath of Alfred C. Clary a subscribing witness thereto and, continued. And at another Court held for the said County the 2nd day of February 1837, the said will was further proved by the oath of John T. Southall another witness thereto and ordered to be recorded. And in the motion of Alfred S. Hargrave the Executer therein named who made oath and entered into bond with Security according to law certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form. Exd. L.
