She had been brooding over misfortunes that had been visited upon them all day previous, and told several persons that she was going to kill her six months old baby, but later said she was going to leave it at a neighbor's. About 6 o'clock yesterday, she left the house of her sister, where she had been staying and left word that she was going to kill herself. The community was immediately alarmed and several went in search and found her in a vacant home. Entrance to the house was made by force, and although the woman is said to have possessed superhuman strength, she was taken back to the house and tied until a doctor came and gave her something to quiet her. She still persists that she will kill herself as soon as she has the opportunity. (Dec 6, 1904) A telegram came to town last night announcing the death in San Antonio, Texas, of James I.
