Miss Mary Ritter of Graham, and Wade Corell of Giles Co. have both been in the Valley for several days. They will attend the wedding of Miss Mabel Crabtree which is to take place this (Wednesday) evening. Mr. G. S. Thompson went to Bland Co., last week where he purchased one hundred and three Angora goats, and is running them in a wood land. It is said that these animals are very destructive to under growth. Our Sunday school at this place is progressing nicely. We have the best school we have had for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Fayett Hopkins of Tazewell were in our Valley Sunday, where they were met by many old friends. William Thompson and Miss Lou Leece were visiting friends in Poor Valley Sunday. All the boys are invited to come and bring their best girl, and the girls a re invited to come and bring their best fellow. Mr. Editor, as yet we have seen no itemized statement of the expenditure of our money made by the Supervisors nor have we heard a word from them in any way concerning this matter. Now we do not know just what the law is on this matter, but we have been informed that the law requires all officers to make an annual report of all money received and expended by them. Will you please inform us as to what the law is on this subject, as I have been asked by several of our best citizens to make this request.
