Death of Sidney Bowman - Tazewell Co. VA MUD FORK, VA., Miss Hettie Shrader, Correspondent Mudfork, Va. March 4.-The entire community was shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Sidney Bowman 45 on Monday afternoon. Death was attributed to a hemmorhage of the lungs. He had been in failing health for two years. He spent some time at a government hospital in North Carolina. Mr. Bowman was a native of Mudfork having spent his entire life here. He was also a veteran soldier. He fought in France during the World war. He is survived by his wife, three children, Audrey, Claud and Clifton Bowman of Mudfork, parents, Mr. And Mrs. Dan Bowman, of Top Top, Va.; the following brothers and sisters, Otey Bowman, Couvitts Creek, Va., Taylor Boman, Amonate, Va., Mrs. Al Graham, Boissevain, Va., Mrs. Roxie Vaughn, Tip Top, Va., Mrs. Archie Pruett, Mrs. Ida Riley, Newhall, W. Va., Mrs. Henry Watson, Yukon, W. Va. Funeral services were conducted….
