MR AND MRS WILEY R COMPTON CELEBRATE 60TH ANNIVERSARY

Celebrate Anniversary

       Wiley R. and Gracie Wagner Compton celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary on Aug. 26 with an open house at their home at 201 Parkway
Drive, Bluefield, Va.
      The couple was married on Aug. 30 1919 in Bristol, Tenn.  They are
the parents of six children, Mattiline Starks, Bastian, Va.; Hazel Aspacher,
Gibsonburg, Ohio; Robert (deceased), Mary Finger and Myrtle Wagner of Ft.
Pierce, Fla,; and Henry Compton of Pearisburg, Va.  They have thirteen
grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
      The Comptons and all their family celebrated the occasion by attending
Virginia Avenue Methodist Church, followed by dinner hosted by their children and friends.
      The three tier wedding cake, decorated in pink and yellow rosebuds, and
punch were served by their grandchildren.  The table holding the guest book
was adorned with snapdragons and pictures of the couples parents.
