(Walter Fulton Thompson, s/o George W. & Ellen Thompson, married Harriett T. ‘Tennie’ Tabor, d/o Thomas Edward ‘Ed’ Tabor, Sr., & Anna Elizabeth Parker. I am uncertain of the identity Mr. Henry Thompson or C.A. Leece). I DO find a Celaey & Allis R. Leece in the 1900 Tazewell Co., VA, Jeffersonville Dist. Census: 1900 Tazewell Co., VA Census # 269, Jeffersonville Dist, Chas W. Matthews, enumerator CELAEY M. LEECE, (sic), 43, b. Mar 1855 in VA (all b. VA) farmer, married 31 years (sic) …..Allis R., 44, b. Jan 1856m wife …..Lulie B., 20, b. Apr 1880, dau ….Lilla E., 13, b. Feb 1884, dau …..Mattie B., 13, b. Dec 1887, dau MR. C. W. MATTHEWS of Graham, is visiting friends and relatives at this place this week and, attending court [Charles Wesley ‘Wes’ Matthews 1848-1950, born in Hillsville, VA., s/o William R. Matthews & Nancy Williams. Charles lived to be 102 years of age and had served in the CIVIL WAR. He was one of the two CIVIL WAR Veterans left in Virginia, by Aug 1949, and less than a score, in the Nation. C.W. Matthews died October the 8th, 1950. C.W. Matthews married Cynthia Cregar, d/o Montgomery Cregar and his first wife, Susan Felty. (Charles W. Matthews is kin to my brother-in-law. J. E. Beard-per Karen EAGLE Moman). C. W. Matthews was also a member of No. 222 Harmon Masonic Lodge in Bluefield, VA]. MR. R. H. MATTHEWS of this place is moving his family to Graham, this week, where they will make their future home.
