By virtue of a deed of trust executed by Thos. C. Harris dated the 2nd day of February, 1891, and recorded in the Clerk's office of the County Court of Tazewell county, in deed book 80, page 517, I will sell on Saturday, March 2nd, 1895, at 3 O'clock pm by way of Public Auction, the house and lot designated as Lot 6, sec. 2 Plan "A" situated on Front Street, Richlands Va. said lot having 25 feet front and running back 120 feet to an alley. TERMS OF SALE: One half cash, balance in 6 and 12 months. Bond and personal security will be required and vendor's lien on property until deferred payments have been paid, with interest from date. Also, By virtue of a deed of trust executed by Thos. C. Harris dated the 2nd day of February, 1891 and recorded in Deed Book No. 30 page 513, I will see by way of Public auction at same time and place Lot No. 3, sec. 2 Plan "A" on Front Street, in town of Richlands, Va. Sale on the premises. ALLEN CUCULLU, Trustee. LOCAL AND GENERAL NEWS BRIEFS Mrs. H.W. Pobst is very ill. J. Watson Quinn is afflicted with mumps. Capt. H. Fugate of Abington is here on business. Dr. James O'Keeffe returned yesterday from Falls Mills. Mr. JW. Hicks of Graham, was in town Tuesday, attending county court. W.E. Peery of Graham was doing some talking on our streets early in the week. Messrs. Will and Jim Harrisson have gone to the eastern markets for spring goods. Mr. J.R. Henry made a flying trip to Pocahontas, Wednesday in the interest of the NEWS. J.L. Baber, the popular Pocahontas merchant, was in town first of the week and called on the NEWS. R.L. Pemberton, Dr. Geroge H. Zimmerman and A.L. Hall, witnesses in the Updike case, are at the Central. Capt. LR. Dodd is still seriously ill. His daughter, Mrs. Shirley, of Vivian WV was up to see him last Sunday. Mr. A. A. Langhorne, agent for Pabst Brewing Company, Pocahontas, was in attendance on court Thursday. J.B. Hankins & Company have moved across the street, and will continue to handle cutlery, firearms, groceries, cigars, tobacco, etc. We hear, with much regret of the death of Mr. Jos. Kindrick's little boy, which occurred some days ago in a railroad wreck in Kentucky. Misses Lou and Nannie Witten, Ella Higginbotham, Ella Bowen, Lettie Thompson, Zobedia Groseclose and May Miller have returned from teaching school throughout the county. On Wednesday, the 27th day of Feb. 1895, Mr. John Ball of Honaker, and Miss Reba Peery of Tazewell will be united in marriage, at the home of the brides father Esquire H.G. Peery. Miss Nellie Gildersleeve was visiting her uncle Dr. J.R. Gildersleeve Monday. Mr. B. B. Greever of Five Oaks was in town court day and called at the News office. Miss Maude Gillespie, daughter of Mr. T.A. Gillespie of Cedar Bluff, is attending the Seminary. Mr. T.D. Wells, and old citizen of Tazewell, who is now on the rail road, was with us Sunday. Miss Daisy Thompson, of the Cove, is visiting her friend Miss Leola Alderson, in the city. Miss Eva Tynes, who is a student at the Graham Female Seminary came up to spend a few days at home. Mr. W.B.F. White has been away for some days at his home, called there on account of the death of his father. We sympathize most sincerely with Mr. White in his sorrow.
