Col. A.J. May is improving the beautiful lawn in front of his residence. The magnificent Soda Water Fountain at Hargrave's drug store is dispensing the cooling beverage to the thirsty. June 12, 1891 Capt. Thomas Peery and Miss Laura Shawver were married on the 10th. C. Peery is one of the best citizens of Burkes Garden and his friends extend their best wishes.
