SHEPPARD carried MISS FLORENCE PERDUE to Bluefield last week and removed a large tumor from her eye. The patient is getting along nicely. [The only Florence Perdue I know of, in the area, at the time was Florence Virginia Perdue, the d/o Silas Henry Perdue, Jr., & Laura Jane Wagner, who was the d/o Rev. Adam Edward Waggoner & Juline (various spellings) Elinor Tabor]. MR. BELCHER and family from Littlesburg, are visiting MR. and MRS. T. E. TABOR this week. [Probably Andrew McLean Belcher (s/o James E. Belcher & Amanda C. French) and his wife, Nancy Moore ‘Nannie’ Tabor, d/o Thomas Edward Tabor, Sr., & Ann Elizabeth Parker. JAMES B. TABOR made a business trip to Elkhorn last Tuesday. [Probably James Brown Tabor, s/o Thomas Edward Tabor, Sr., & Anna Elizabeth Parker]. T. E. TABOR was in Tazewell Monday on business . [Thomas Edward ‘Edd’ Tabor, Sr., s/o James Harrison Tabor & Nancy Moore Runion]. MRS. IDA CRAWFORD and MISS FLORENCE BRITTAIN were visiting friends at Mora, W. Va., the last of the week. [Ida Crawford,wife of T. J. Crawford and the mother of Annie Jane Crawford who married Walter Burts Tabor Nov 4, 1908]. MR. J. C. FINK has built an additional to his home at this place. [James C. Fink married Cynthia Dudley, d/o Hugh D. Dudley & Mary Jane Shuffleberger.]. W. H. SADLER was brought to his home at this place yesterday, painfully but not seriously hurt, by a lever car running over him while he was at work, on the N. and W. Ry (sic). [William H. Saddler/Sadler 1889-1935, s/o William W. Sadler & Chloe Ardelia Tabor who was a d/o Andrew Jackson Tabor ?killed in Civil War & Julia (various spellings) Belcher]. ………………….
