The funeral and burial took place on Tuesday, conducted by Rev. W.C. THOMPSON, of Bristol, former pastor of the deceased. Charles SCOTT was a good citizen, a prosperous farmer in his younger days, a genial, jovial old man to the last. His familiar face and kindly greetings will be missed. He was a loyal confederate soldier and Democrat. During the war he was a member of the 45th Regiment, commanded by Col. BROWNE, Stonewall Brigade, and was in the surrender at Appomattox. May the clods of his native valley rest lightly upon him.
