Mr. C. D. Butt expects to move his family to Florida in a few days.
[Clifton Dale 'Cleff/Cliff/Cleft'  Butt, s/o Charles Wesley Butt &
Virginia Celie Dudley.  In a July 13, 1917 edition of "Clinch Valley
New:
" Cliff Butt, who formerly lived near Springville, on Mud Fork , had
traveled through the area on the 9th of that month, in an auto."]

Misses Conroy and Ira Sluss were the guests of Mrs. E. L. Hayes last
Wednessday evening.
[Ira Sluss=I believe to have been Ira Kansas Sluss, d/o my great uncle,
Fortunatus 'Uncle Nat' Sluss and Ava Hays. I do not know the identity of
Miss Conroy]

Mr. Lee Billips, who has been on a visit to his home, has gone to
Kentucky.

An entertainment will be given at Sheffy's Chapel Saturday, Feb. 13, at
8 p. m., The program will consist of two plays-Dr. Cure-All and just
Like Most Folks

Mrs. Bloooming………Lois Hayes (sic) =Possibility that this was a sister of
Eva Hays and Alifair Nannnie Gray Hays,  OR a sister of Ava Hays.
Alifair Nannnie Gray Hays  married Carl Hezekiah 'Kyle' Sluss, Ava Hays
married Fortunatus Sluss,  and Mary Francis Hays married Frederick
Charles Sluss.

Mrs. Brown..…..Ira Sluss= I believe to have been Ira Kansas Sluss, d/o
my great uncle, Fortunatus 'Uncle Nat' Sluss and Ava Hays.

Mrs. M. B. Srawney..M. B. Conway (sic)=unknown to me.

Mrs. Ratchison…..Myrtle Shrader =I believe to have been Bertha Myrtle
Shrader,  the d/o Hugh Dillion Shrader & Mariah Larissa 'Louisa' Riley

Miss Kate……..Pearl Shrader= I believe to have been Alania/Allena Pearl
Sharder,  the d/o Hugh Dillion Shrader & Mariah Larissa 'Louisa' Riley.
