Friday, February, 21, 1936 GENERAL THIRTY-FIVE YEARS AGO IN TAZEWELL From the News of Friday, Feb. 22, 1901 DEATH: MRS. MARY CAMERON, wife of JOHN P. CAMERON, died at her home in Graham Sunday morning. She suffered a stroke of paralysis last March. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, REV. S.. W. MOORE, assisted by REV. E. T. MASON. Mrs. Cameron was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in May 1863. She was married to Mr. Cameron December 1889, and they came to America in 1892. BAKER, died at her home on Tazewell avenue last Friday night. Death was attributed to tuberculosis. WAGNER, were married in Bristol last Friday. The bride attended Graham high school and lived in the home of REV. and MRS. SPRING while attending school in Tazewell. (Daniel Reginald Carter, s/o Ransom LaFollette Carter & Mary Nicette Gillespie. Jennie Pearl Wagner ?the Jennie was most likely a name of endearment of Virginia, d/o Charles Alexander Wagner & Jane Annabelle ‘Annie’ Bailey). John Henry Sluss, s/o James A. Sluss & Clair Rinda/Clairnda Gouldy/Goldy/Golden. John Henry Sluss a brother of Corrilda Alice Sluss (married Rufus Jackson Shrader) and Margaret Rebecca Sluss (married Hugh Edward Tabor). Hazel Rigoletta Sluss had first married Ray Guseman]. Henry Bowen Greever, s/o Dr. Charles William Greever & Ella Littita Perry. Dr. Charles William Greever, s/o Rev. John J. Greever & Margaret Catherine Perry.. Rev. John J. Greever was a brother of David B. Greever and they were sons of Phillip Greever , II. TWENTY YEARS AGO IN TAZEWELL DEATH: Typed as written: From the News of Friday, Feb. 25, 1916 CAMPBELL GREEVER died at his home in Blanchard, Iowa, on Monday. He was a son of DAVID and NANCY GREEVER. And was born in Tazewell county, October 10,1842. He enlisted in the Confederate army, and served until the end of the war. He married MISS MARGARET CHANEY, to which union nine children were born, all of whom are living. ( Campbell B. Greever also married LOUISA C.
