R. G. FLUMMER, writing from Jasper, Mo., says he cannot do without CLINCH VALLEY NEWS, as he always had his father’s copy when living in this county years ago. He reads with delight of the improved condition and brighter prospects of his one time neighbors and friends. He believes as we all do, that Tazewell’s untold resources of wealth, fertile soil, grand scenery, pure water, healthful climate, mild winters, good schools and live churches, will draw thousands of enterprising and industrious farmer and mechanics from the more densely settled sections of the country. He says: "I meet in my travels from Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky, many persons who have come west and are satisfied to spend their days in this beautiful country, They, especially those from Virginia, are still noted for their geniality and hospitality." (Rev. Robert G. Flummer-name was originally PHLAMNER, as in Samuel William PHLUMNER who was married in Montgomery Co., VA., in 1793 to Elizabeth Peck. Rev. R. G.
