(Also check article-see below-in CVN Misc Dates 1901-1910 this MIGHT be the same D. S. Tabor. I had had Dexter S. as Dexter L Tabor. I DO NOT know if this is the same man as in previous article. D. Tabor is Russell B. Tabor, s/o Daniel Tabor. Dexter S. Tabor had a brother, Evan Brown Tabor, who died before 17 Jan 1896, but I do not know the cause of his death-in reference to the article in last file sent. In Oct 1930, Dexter Tabor lived in Minton, CA. And was listed in the Oct 1930, obituary of his brother, Mosby Edward Tabor). Does anyone have the spouse and children of Dexter S. Tabor? I have nothing more on this kinsman. Last article: Friday, December 19, 1902, Mr. D. S. Tabor, of Pocahontas Hardware Company, Pocahontas, Va., was here (Tazewell) on Tuesday and paid us a welcome visit. Mr. Tabor qualified on Tuesday as guardian of his deceased brother, who, it will be recalled, was killed at Bramwell some years ago by a run-a-way team. (I have no idea of whom this man is a child. Do any of you know this Mr. Tabor?). Friday, August 2, 1901, Tazewell Co., VA DOAK-WAGNER Bailey, Va, July 29 One of our townsman, Mr. James W. From page 31 of "The Adam Waggoner Family" , I know this couple had a son, Charles Doak-no birth date. Sallie Wagner Doak was b. 4 Jan 1869 and d. 19 June 1954. There is a picture of her and her son. She was a beautiful woman. Friday August 2, 1901, Tazewell., VA (Individual article) DIED Died at her home, July 31, Miss Mary H. Bane, only daughter of J. H. Bane, in her 26th year. Her mother died thirteen years ago, leaving her alone with her father and four brothers, the youngest-very small. * Since the beginning of the year she has been a patient sufferer from consumption * This is incorrect-she was the oldest child in the family-Karen. (Daughter of Joseph Howard Bane and Rachel Cammille Witten, 1851-1888. The four brothers were: 1. Charles Stewart "Sidney" Bane-married Virginia Melissa Genia" Tabor, d/o Elgin Whitley Tabor & Octavia Zane Tiller 2. William Howard Bane, married Alice Dora Shrader -another side of my family-, d/o Francis Marion "Pet" Shrader & Rachel Maloney Harman. 3. Henry W. Bane-no other data 4. Sidney Clay Bane- married Callie M. Tabor, d/o Allen P. Tabor & Mary A. Elizabeth "Betty" McClannahan. (Why did Charles Stewart Bane use the nickname "Sidney" since he had a brother named Sidney Clay? I must admit I could be wrong and perhaps it was Stewart he was called. I spent a lot of time at their home since one of their daughters, Lena Mae Bane, married one of my mother’s brothers. Do any of you know? I remember being at their home once when Aunt Lena gave Donna Ballard and I each a quarter. We rode the bus to and from the movie, paid admission to the movie and bought a coke. We had a piece of change left when we got home! Henry W. Bane was the only son of Joseph Howard Bane not a member of No. 222, Harman Masonic Lodge, Bluefield, VA. Perhaps he moved away or died young).
