Obituary of Annie Mae Baldwin, 1986 - Tazewell Co. VA (Submitter note: This obituary is a clipping taken from the Richlands News Press dated October 22, 1986 in the possession of Willy Shelton.) Annie Mae Baldwin Mrs. Annie Mae Baldwin, 71, of Raven, died Oct. 18 at a Richlands hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Tazewell County and was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Eliza Sparks, both Tazewell County natives. She was a life long resident of the Raven area and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Goldie taylor and also one brother. Survivors are her husband, Rev. Ed George Baldwin; three daughters, Mrs. Bill (Hazel) Whited of Swords Creek, Mrs. Clyde (Juanita) Sparks of Richlands, and Mrs. David (Brenda) Brewster of Bandy; four sons, John Baldwin and Daniel Baldwin of Raven, Jessie Howard Baldwin of the home, and Paul Baldwin of Richlands; four sisters, Mrs. Lucy Brown of Columbus, OH, Mrs. Barbara Hayes of Berwind WV, Mrs. Kathleen Sparks of Thomasville, NC and Mrs. Nervie Harmon of Baptist Valley; and 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Trevert Vance and Rev. Sherman Lowe officiating. Interment followed in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
