Baldwin BANDY, Va. -- Mrs. Nettie Rose Whitt Baldwin, 85, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in a Richlands hospital following a brief illness. Born in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of the late John Y. Whitt Sr. and Mary Boothe Whitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Baldwin; two sons, Jerry L. Baldwin and Melvin Dewey Baldwin; one daughter,Virginia Carol Baldwin; two brothers, Carl Whitt and John Y. (Donnie) Whitt Jr.; and one sister, Bessie Blankenship. She is survived by two sons, Charles T. Baldwin and wife Darla of Bandy and Edward L. Baldwin and wife Sandee of Roanoke; one brother, Milbern T. Whitt of Cedar Bluff; two sisters, Becky Pruett of Bandy and Delphine Simmons of Spring Hill, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va., with Rev. Sam Altizer and Rev. Kenny Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff is serving the Baldwin Family.
