G. D. BEAVERS

G. D. Beavers, a well known citizen of the North Tazewell community,
died at his home on Whitley's Ridge Sunday, following an illness of
several months. He was 68 years of age.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at North Tazewell. Burial
took place in the private Peery cemetery, near the late John D. Peery.
The services were in charge of Rev, Mr. Phillips, pastor of the North
Tazewell Methodist church.

Immediate relatives surviving are Mrs. Beavers, and one son, Wilford
Beavers assistant postmaster at Tazewell, and these brothers, G. P.
Beavers, and Ed Beavers of North Tazewell, and George P. Beavers , of
Fieldale, Va.

[Gallieo D. Beavers,  son of of Mathias Harman Beavers & Margaret Clay
Whitley. The wife was Hettie L. 'Hetty' Roberts. The son is buried  at
Whitley-Peery Cemetery, North Tazewell , Tazewell Co., VA.
