Belcher ELIZABETHTON -- Mr. William G. "Bill" Belcher, 69, formerly of Richlands and Coalwood, W.Va., died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at his home. He was born in English,W.Va., and was a son of the late Ransey L. and Lucille Hatfield Belcher. He was a Korean War veteran and managed Richlands Builders Supply in the 1960s and Richlands Bailey Lumber Co. in the 1970s. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean See and Wanda Boyles; and one brother, Dave Belcher. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Charles T. (Sheila) Sparks of Concord, N.C., Ms. Sandra L. Belcher of Greensboro, N.C., and Mrs. Richard R. (Stephanie) McKinney of Hopedale, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Sue Belcher Huffard of Bristol Tennessee; four grandchildren, Melissa D. French of Greensboro, N.C., Natalia D. Patsey of Greensboro, Stephen A. McKinney of Hopedale and Luke A. McKinney of Hopedale; and many wonderful nieces and nephews also survive. According to Mr. Belcher's wishes, no services will be held after his cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
