Obituary of Mr. Alice Bennett - Tazewell Co. VA

     Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Almira Bennett, 98, of Boissevain, Va.,
formerly of Yards, Va., will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at
Shumate-Newman Funeral Home in Pocahontas, VA., with Rev. Robert Martin
officiating.  Burial will follow in Shrader Cemetery at Yards.
     Widow of Gabe Bennett, she died Wednesday in St. Lukes Hospital in
Bluefield.
     Survivors include a son, Leonard Bennett of Yards, eight grandchildren
and 11 great grandchildren.
     Pallbearers:  Herman Anderson, Bernard and Jerry Shrader, John Carter,
Henry Murray and David Page.
     Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
