Obituary of Haskell Bowman, Jr. - Tazewell Co. VA HASKELL BOWMAN, JR. Funeral services for Haskell Bane Bowman, Jr., 19 of Rt. 1, North Tazewell, Va., who was killed Thursday when the car he had been driving rolled backwards against him, pinning him against an embankment two miles south of Boissevain, Va., will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mudfork, Va., Christian Church with Rev. Charlie Sublette and Rev. Johnny Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Sluss Cemetery at Mudfork. Born in Tazewell County, he was a son of Haskell Bowman Sr., and Mrs. Pansie Riley Bowman of Mudfork. He was employed by Mouldings, Inc. of Marion, Va., at the time of his death. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include one daughter, Carla Jean Bowman of the home; five brothers, Ronnie Lee, George, Bobby Joe, Jerry Ray and James Bowman of the home. Pallbearers: Jerry Riley, Roger Yearrings, Bennie Howington, Larry Sluss, Eddie Dickenson, and Larry Pillips. The Mudfork Church Choir will serve as flowerbearers. The body will be taken from Rodrequez-Pocahontas Union Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va., today at 4:30 p.m. to the home of Crockett Sluss in Mudfork.
