She was born in Richlands and was a daughter of the late Johnny W. and Nannie Addison French Sr., both Richlands natives. She was a life long resident of the Richlands area and attended the Richlands Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Cletus Allen Bragg. Survivors are: one daughter, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Bragg Sparks and husband, Shaun, of Pounding Mill; seven sisters, Mrs. Helen Shelton of Richlands, Mrs. Gaye Groves of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Ruth Wilson of Cedar Bluff, Va., Mrs. Jessie Gates of Suwannee, Fla., Mrs. Joan Statzer of Hansonville, Va., Ms. Lynn French of Richlands and Mrs. Teresa Estep of Hurley, Va.; and one brother, Mr. Johnny W. French Jr. of Texas. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Monte Elswick officiating. Interment will follow in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands. Pallbearers will be Michael Coleman, Otis Lester, James Hoops, William Hoops, Jeff Kinder, Richard Sparks, Joe Sparks and Clarence Lowe. There will be no visitation.
