Obituary of William Brooks - Tazewell Co. VA, Mercer Co. WV

WILLIAM BROOKS
     William Brooks, 79, of the Princeton-Athens Road, died Thursday night
in a Princeton hospital following a long illness.
     Born in Wilkesboro, N. C. he was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs.  Joel
Brooks.
     Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella Mae Brooks; three sons, Opie
Brooks of Anawalt, Johnny Brooks of Abbs Valley, Va., and Joe Brooks of
Auton, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Dolly Hicks of New Castle, Del.;  two
half-brothers, Ruben Myers of Roanoke, Va.; and Ovid Myers of High Point,
N.C.;  one sister, Mrs. Ella Stroud of High Point.
     Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Bailey
Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton with Rev. Paul Hall officiating.  Burial
will follow in Monte Vista Park Cemetery.
     Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
