TAZEWELL COUNTY, VA - OBITUARIES - Daniel Reginald Carter, Oct 1943 ----¤¤¤---- "Clinch Valley News" Tazewell, Tazewell Co., VA Friday, October 22, 1943 DANIEL CARTER Daniel Reginald Carter died last week at Stevens clinic, Welch, W. Va. Mr. Carter had been employed by the Norfolk and Western railway for the past 27 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Jennie Pearl Wagner. There also survives several sons, his mother, Mrs. Rans Carter, of West Graham. Among the surviving brothers are A. D. Carter, of Bluefield, Va.; J. A. Carter, Lync (sic), Ky.; W. B. Carter, Norfolk; sisters, Mrs. L. M. Ball, Wilcoe; Mrs. C. D. Reedy, Lynch, Ky.; Mrs. C. V. Taylor, Thorpe, W. Va; Misses Carmen and Bernice Carter, of Bluefield, Va. [Daniel R. Carter, Sr., known as 'Reg' Carter. Son of Ransom Lafollette Carter & Mary Nicette Gillespie. Jennie Pearl Wagner, d/o Charles Alexander Wagner & Jane Annabelle Bailey. Mabel VIVIAN Carter married Luther M. Ball, a widower and helped raise his two children, Margaret and Jack Ball. Nancy CARMEN Carter and Bernice Ruth Carter were school teachers].
