Clinch Valley News

January 11, 1968

William David Collins, 76, of the Crocketts Cove section of Bishops, Va., died
in a Richlands hospital Thursday night January 4 following a long illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Salyers Collins of the home; two sons
Roger Collins of Florida and Charlie Collins, address unknown; three stepsons,
Harrison McGuire of Manassas and Glenn McGuire of Alexandria; four
stepdaughters, Mrs. Cora Mitchell, Mrs. Greta Mitchell, Mrs. Alice Mitchell of
Manassas, and Mrs. Jeri Sue Hubble of Bishop; three brothers John Collins of
Newhall, Bige Collins of Kentucky, and Levi Collins of Pennington Gap, Va.; and
three sisters, Mrs. Mary West of Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Ethel Warren of
Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. Tinnie Johnson of Ten Mile, Tenn.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 pm at the Alexandria Methodist
Church in Bishop with Rev. W.E. Mustard officiating. Burial follow in Grandview
Memory Gardens on the Bluefield-Tazewell Road.
