All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ==================================================================== Clinch Valley News January 20, 1966 Conley Trigg Collins Sr., 75, Pounding Mill, died in a Richlands hospital Tuesday afternoon following a short illness. He was born in Wythe County, the son of the late James and Elizabeth Strader Collins. He had been employed by the Pounding Mill Quarry Corp. for 47 years, retiring in 1958. He was a veteran of WWI having served overseas for over 16 months and was also a member of the Cedar Bluff Masonic Lodge #260 A.F.&.A.M. Surviving: wife Mrs. Susie Mulkey Collins; one son Conley Trigg Collins Jr; two sisters Mrs. Hallie McGee, Pounding Mill, and Mrs. Margaret Duncan, Philadelphia, PA. Funeral services were held from Pounding Mill Union Church Friday with the Rev. E. Ambrose Stump and Rev. W.E. Mustard officiating. Interment followed in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill. Masons served as active pallbearers and had graveside rites. The body was taken to the home in Pounding Mill Wednesday from the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home.
