DIED SUDDENLY
Wife of Former Tazewell Citizen Expires Suddenly

News reaches Tazewell of the sudden death at her home near Pattonsburg,
Mo., on the 8th of this month of MRS. MATTIE COMPTON. She was the wife
of the late  N. F. COMPTON, a  former citizen of this county. Mrs.
Compton was a MISS GWYNN, a native of Ohio, and leaves five daughters
and one son. It will be recalled that two of the daughters, MISSES MAUDE
and CHLOE, were in Tazewell last fall on a visit.
