She was born in Pounding Mill, Va., and was a daughter of the late Loyd McCutcheon and Rosa Etta Cyphers Shamblin. She was a lifelong resident of the Richlands area and was a faithful member of the Richlands First United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Service Guild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Kelly A. Crawford; one brother, Robert W. Shamblin; and one sister, Eloise Shamblin McGuire. Survivors are: two daughters: Mrs. Bettie Carrole Jessee and husband, Dave of Richlands; and Mrs. Jackie Sue Jessee and husband, Bill of Leesburg, Fla.; grandsons: Steve and Martha Jessee of Richlands; Jeff and Martha Jessee of Richlands; Chris and Alicia Mullen of Leesburg; and Jason Jessee of Leesburg; great-grandsons, David, Matthew and Marcus Jessee; great-granddaughter, Madisyn Mullen; brother and sister-in-law, Roy E. and Virginia Russell Shamblin of Bluefield, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Virginia Ruth McGlothlin Shamblin of Coral Springs, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; two special care givers, Betty Brown and Ernestine Honaker; and a caring doctor and friend, Dr. Mario Stefanini also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Norman Wilhoit officiating. Grandsons and great- grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A private committal service will be held at a later time at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands from 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour.
