Obituary of Charles T. Epperson - Tazewell Co. VA

CHARLES T. EPPERSON
     Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Abbs Valley
Baptist Church for Charles T. Epperson, 71, of Abbs Valley, who was dead on
arrival at a Bluefield hospital Sunday night following a heart attack while
attending church.
     Dr. Ted Cook and Rev. Fay Snider will officiate and burial will follow
in  Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, Va.
     Epperson was a retired employee of Pocahontas Fuel Co. and was a member
of Abbs Valley Baptist Church.
     Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Asbury; two sons, Dallis
Epperson of Abbs Valley and Ralph Epperson of Cleveland, Oh.; two brothers,
W. F. and J. G. Epperson of Rt. 2, Bluefield, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude
Bowman of Mud Fork; and five grandchildren.
     The body will be moved from Shumate-Newman Funeral Home in Pocahontas,
Va., to the residence today at 4 p.m. and will be placed in the church one
hour prior to the services.
     Pallbearers will be Leonard Patrick, Carl Myers, William Castle, Jack
Hill, Warren Payne, John Sanders, Paul Groseclose and Jim Groseclose.
