Obituary of J. E. Groseclose - Tazewell Co. VA GROSECLOSE RITES BOISSEVAIN TODAY J.E. Groseclose Died Sunday at his home following brief illness of Pneumonia; was valued resident of section. Funeral services will take place this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home at Boissevain for J. E. Groseclose, 76. Mr. Groseclose died Sunday afternoon at his home following a brief illness of pneumonia. He was a brother-in-law of W. L. Burton, G. W. Havens and A. M. Lane of Bluefield, Va., His widow before her marriage 52 years ago was Miss Mary Havens. Eleven living children in addition to his widow survive. Mr. Groseclose, a native of Tazewell county and a carpenter by trade, had lived at Boissevain for a number of years and was employed by the Pocahontas Fuel company. He wa familiarly known by his host of friends as "Ed" Groseclose and he was a splendid man and a useful citizen. Mr. Groseclose was a member of the Methodist church. Burial will be in the family plot near the Groseclose home at Boissevain.
