TAZEWELL COUNTY, VA - OBITUARIES - Ursula Peck Hauser, May 1942 ----¤¤¤---- "Clinch Valley News" Tazewell, Tazewell Co., VA Friday, May 22, 1942 FORMER TAZEWELL LADY DIES IN CANADA Mrs. Ursula Peck Hauser, sister of B. L. Peck, Mrs. Kate Bales, of Wauawal, Washington, passes away at the home of(her) daughter, Mrs. D. H. Elton, wife of Lethridge's mayor, in Lefbridge, Albera Canada. Mrs. Hauser was born in Tazewell County, Virginia 86 years ago, and married C. M. Hauser,of Georgia, member of an old Southern family. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Hauser lived in Washington, D. C. where Mr. Hauser was employed in the U. S. Civil Service. A son, Henry, preceded his mother in death several years ago and is buried in Washington, D. C. The lady who sang a solo at Mr. Hauser's funeral in Salt Lake City, Utah 22 years ago, sang a solo at Mrs. Hauser's funeral. She (Mrs. Hauser) had lived with Mayor and Mrs. Elton for the past 20 years and she frequently visited her parents at Gratton, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peck, during their life time. She was an aunt to Mrs. S. B. Burton, Mrs. G. C. Bales, Mrs. C. R. Rutherford, the Goodman's in Burke's Garden and a number of other nieces and nephews.
